Christmas Visitor

27 Dec

Ghost Dog Walking AwayYesterday I was so excited to talk about all the great Christmas presents I got that I forgot one thing. I had one more present that I didn’t mention. It was a visit from a special friend that I haven’t seen in a long time.

And that friends, is no other than Ghost Dog.

I was walking my person along my trails like I always do. Yes, even on Christmas I have to make sure to get my person out for her walk. She might get all cranky if she doesn’t get her exercise.

Anyway, we were walking along my trails when, there he was.

Ghost Dog seemed happy to see me. He started wagging his tail and came over and sniffed noses with me. But then, like he always does, he kept on walking and disappeared.

This time he did something a little different though. As he was walking down the trail Ghost Dog turned and looked back at me, as if he really wanted to stay and play.

Ghost Dog Looking Back

But there must be something about his ghostiness that won’t let him do that. Like a true Ghost Dog he vanishes every time I see him.

Next time I might have to put my Detective Dog hat on and follow him. I bet he won’t be so quick to disappear. Because if he does, I’ll find out where he goes and I’ll get a new hat to wear.

Who you gonna call? Ghost Buster Dog!

Marina, I never know when Ghost Dog is going to show up again. My person thought he had moved away – but I guess he’s back.

Maybe you should have your human drop treats for Ghost Dog, lure him over to play.

FleaByte, that’s a great idea. And if the treats don’t work to lure Ghost Dog then I get to eat them.

Ellie, Cedar, Ember, and Scully, Ghost Dog shows up every few months and always walks away and disappears. My person checked my Ghost Dog posts and it was about four months ago that we saw him the last time. Thanks for stopping by and commenting.

You gotta update us soon – who could this mysterious dog be? Also, when are they going to rename the trail after you? Bongo Trail has a nice ring to it.

Will and Eko, I like your suggestion for the trail name. I’ll have to have my person submit that to the proper authorities. Ghost Dog lives on the next street over from us – actually right behind us, but there’s a big fence that separates our yards. Every once in awhile we see him on the trails and he always walks away and disappears. My person checked my Ghost Dog posts and the last time we saw him was four months ago. Once my person saw Ghost Dog and his person far away from here.

Sometimes a dog wants a little mystery in his life.

Benny & Lily, I guess I could track Ghost Dog by his scent – unless that disappears too.

Misaki, I think I will follow him next time, but I have to get my person to cooperate. She’s always attached to my leash.

Ghost Dog’s friend is what you are, Bongo; and I second naming the trail after you!

Thanks Roberta. I really like the idea of having the trail named after me. I think it would bring visitors from far a wide. And Ghost Dog is one of my trail friends. I just wish he’d quit disappearing all the time.

OMD! Ghost Dog was wagging his tail?? How sweet he is! I’m sure he is hoping to play with you someday! But unfortunately there must be some reasons he can’t do that……hmmm….I wonder what they are??? He might be too shy? Ok, now I need to wear my detective hat, too Bongo! 🙂
