Sign Down

19 Jan

Bongo next to a downed trail signThis is terrible! I think Detective Dog is going to be overworked. I just finished investigating that strange stuff on my puddles and now this!

I was on my way home from my trails when I spotted it. My trail sign is down on the ground.

How could this have happened? My dog friends won’t know how to find my trails anymore.

.

I guess I’d better check for clues.

Bongo sniffing the downed trail sign

Hmmm. Not much here.

Oh wait! More evidence. Check this out.

Bongo and a hole in the ground

A hole! I bet that’s what the sign came out of.

I’d better check out that hole.

Bongo sniffing the hole in the ground

Nope. No sign of any gophers or anything that might have pushed that sign out of the way. I don’t even smell a bunny rabbit.

This is going to require further investigation. I’d better go home and get my Detective Dog hat.

Bongo with Detective Dog hat covering his eyes

Oops. I’d better adjust this hat.

Bongo looking cool with his Detective Dog hat on

There, that’s better.

What did you say, person?

No, I didn’t. I did not knock that sign over so I could wear my Detective Dog hat. What do you think I am? Full of mischief or something?

Never you mind. I’m going back out there by myself.

Everybody stand clear. Detective Dog is here!

Be careful, Bongo! It might have been a Heffalump http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Heffalump!

Kolytyi, I’m concerned now. I guess my younger person used to have a Winnie the Pooh video with Heffalumps in it. I didn’t know they were still around. I might need to get some help on this one.

We hope you find out real soon how your trail sign got on the ground. We know you are a super duper detective and if this problem can be solved you will do it. Hugs and nose kisses

Chancy and Mumsy, I’m working hard on it. I just hope it wasn’t those javelinas that hang around here. My person says they knocked over a couple of our neighbor’s garbage cans the other night. Hugs and nose kisses back to you.

Remy, this mischief is really wearing me out. But I’ll keep at it. Detective Dog always gets his man.

You have the right hat to be Detective Dog, Bongo! I sure hope you solve the puddle mystery soon and let us know what’s going on. I’ve seen some of that strange stuff here on my puddles. Do you think it’s trying to take over the Earth?????

Sage, that stuff is in your puddles too? This is really distressing. I’d better work extra hard to get to the bottom of this. Maybe you can help me.

Perhaps its aliens!! Bassa has just chased them out of her backyard, maybe they’ve headed over to your trails…

Misaki, I hope it’s not aliens. It might be though. They seem to hang out a lot where I live. I’d better be careful. Those aliens are usually up to no good.

Good work, B. I hope the sign by my house never falls over. I am afraid of it.

Cupcake, it’s okay as long as the sign doesn’t fall on you – or your mom. Let me know if you find it down though, and I’ll come over and investigate.

Kevin, I didn’t do it. Really I didn’t. There might be a few things I’m not proud of doing, but not this sign. I think it was those javelina that sneak around here at night.

Bongo, I should more worry about the meaning of that sign ‘sugar loaf trailhead’, sounds very spacey 🙂

    • Bongo

      January 20, 2013 at 12:52 pm

Angels Whisper, there are a lot of spacey people around here. But my person says I have to tell you that Sugar Loaf is a big round rock near our house. It’s the one my person and I climbed the other day.

ah yes, i read this on my FB page but could not comment….That hat is so cute..I know I said that before but it just makes me smile every time I see you wearing it…such a good choice of style.

Now as for this sign..are you sure that you did not dig it up for fun..maybe you were looking for the puddle and thought that it may have gone down that hole….

tDetective Sherlock Bongo will discover the truth and the culprit will be brought to justice!

Thanks Patrecia. I didn’t knock that sign down – really, but you gave me an idea. I’m gonna go dig down in that hole and see if my puddle is there. Maybe my puddle pushed the sign down. Wouldn’t that be something?

Ginger, you’re making me blush. At least you can’t see it under my hair. I sure hope I find whoever knocked that sign down because I’m gonna give them what for. Want to help?
