The Investigation Continues

18 Jan

Bongo looking cool with his Detective Dog hat onYesterday I, Detective Dog, was in the middle of an investigation when that strange stuff covering one of my puddles tried to steal my foot.

That stuff stole my main puddle and was working on my other puddle. I was looking for clues as to what it was and how I could get it to stop stealing puddles. I must have been getting close or it wouldn’t have tried to stop me.

Today was a much warmer day A good day to go out and continue my investigation. I took my person with me in case I needed someone to take notes. Yesterday there was some water left in one of the puddles that I could use to make marks on the rocks with – but who knows what I’ll find today.

After much trekking through my trails we finally arrived at the place where my puddles hang out.

My main puddle was missing – totally missing! And so was that strange white stuff. It had taken my puddle and run.

So I was a little scared to check out what happened to that other puddle. The one that had tried to steal my foot the day before.

But I did.

Puddle Missing Ice

And I discovered something really cool.

This puddle had won! It had managed to chase off that strange white stuff that had tried to steal it away.

I found a couple little pieces of the stuff, but it won’t have a chance against the puddle now.

And I can use it to further my investigation and maybe find out what happened to my other puddle.

Detective Dog does it again!

That stuff doesn’t have a chance.

Jaz, I’m having a serious talk with that puddle, but so far it’s not listening.

Marina, my person says that white stuff is scared of warm weather so as long as it stays warm again my puddle is safe.

Thanks Patrecia. I’m not sure where all that white stuff went either, but my person says it doesn’t like the warmer weather. I do.

Me and Nellie think you are very lucky to know such a brave puddle that can chase whit stuff away.

Jasper and Nellie, I hadn’t thought of that but I am really lucky, aren’t I. I have an exceptional puddle on my trails.

That must’ve been one cold puddle. Around here, Mom had to put my jacket on me to go out. I still shivered a little.

    Love and licks and shivers,

Cupcake, sometimes I wish I had a jacket, but I just make sure I move fast enough to keep warm. It’s gotten warmer again here though. If it gets cold again all I can say is we’d better get some snow.

When you find the evidence, Sherlock Bongo, don’t leave it out there, but put it in the freezer 🙂

Angels Whisper, what a great idea. Then I can investigate it at my leisure – in a nice, warm house. And maybe get some tasty treats out of the freezer at the same time.

Your puddles are very popular!!! Someone must try to steal it!!! You should leave your name on them or mark them with….hee hee hee 🙂

Kevin, that’s a great idea. If I mark my puddles everyone will know they’re mine and they wouldn’t dare touch them.

Remy, it’s a real challenge when the evidence tries to disappear. Maybe if I find out who’s hiding it I’ll have the mystery solved.

Ginger, it got warm again here so that stuff must have gone into hiding. It must be pretty ornery stuff there to hang around for the whole winter.
