I know it’s the middle of winter, but today was so nice that my person decided to hang out in the backyard for awhile. Something about the ground being moist and there were a few weeds left that she’d never gotten around to pulling.
I hope she’s not going to pull up all my tasty backyard treats.
My person tried to sneak out in the yard without me, but I would have none of that. She wasn’t going out that door unless I went out with her. Person, I promise I won’t jump the fence this time – really.
Since I’d made my promise I had to find something else fun to do. It didn’t take me long. Off in the corner of the yard lay an old ball.
But balls are only fun when they’re being tossed, and my person was acting too busy to play catch.
.
But I learned something a long time ago. Put the ball in the bag with the weeds and my person throws it back out.
Never mind the ball, person. I’m being barked at again.
Hey person, you need a faster camera to keep up with me.
Now where is that guy? I think I scared him away.
Guess I’ll go back to what I was doing.
Hey, I think my ball got buried.

I commend you for being outside in nature. I’m not quite there myself. XOXO – Bacon

I’m glad I met you Bongo. I will definitely be checking you out. Maybe by Spring, I will be ready to venture out into the wild. It’s not like mom hasn’t tried. I’m just personally not ready.

Bacon, my new neighbor dog Toby was afraid to go on the trails near our house, but now he loves it. I bet once you get used to it you’ll love it outside.

Nature and me – shivers. I have to build up to it. Daddy is afraid that once I get out I won’t want to come back in. Poor mom – I don’t think she could take the separation like that, you know.

Bacon, sometimes I don’t want to come in and I try to talk my person into going on a longer walk.

What’s wrong with next yard dog?

Marina, I think that dog gets lonely in his yard, so when I come outside he comes to the fence and starts barking. But when I peeked at him through the hole in the fence it must have startled him because he backed off and stopped barking.

Very clever Bongo. I’ll make sure Litchi doesn’t read this in case she learns any tricks from you 🙂

I just remembered..you can’t go telling us half the story Bongo and then leave it. The other day Toby’s house was being boarded up…why was this and where is Toby? I need to know these things

Patrecia, they’re still working on boarding up Toby’s house. My person says it’s something about new siding. I don’t know what she’s talking about but I think Toby is stuck inside. If I don’t see him soon I’m going to have to head over there and dig him out.

also who was the other side of your fence? I looked real close but I could not see….

Patrecia, I don’t know the name of that dog on the other side of my fence. My person tried to take a picture of him through the hole but it’s the only way I can see him so I blocked the hole before her camera got there.

Wow! What a clever dog you’re, Bongo! Putting the ball in the bag with the weeds and your person throws it back out..Good idea to play! 🙂

Kevin, I learned a long time ago that when my person is pulling weeds she won’t ignore my ball if I put it in the weed bag. I guess she doesn’t want to have to buy me another ball so she tosses it out of the bag.

Hey Bongo, Did you ever find that ball? And did your swimming pool ever fill up? LOL Happy Saturday!

Loy, my person finally dug my ball out of the weeds, but my puddle still hasn’t turned into a swimming hole. I’m so disappointed. I stopped by and tried to comment on your blog, but the server was having a problem and it wouldn’t take my comment.

Great idea with the ball Bongo! I like playing ball too, but only maybe 3 throws…What’s up with that guy on the other side of the fence though? Must be he’s jealous that you’ve got a ball.

Lola, I think that guy on the other side of the fence just wants to play – but there’s this big fence between us so he can’t.

Angels Whisper, maybe I can work on that hole and make it big enough to get through.
