Two times this week! Do you believe it? I got to go for a ride in the car and we stopped at the treats and loves place twice this week. That’s never happened before. At least that I remember.
That treats and loves place is pretty cool, but I still can’t figure out why my person keeps yelling at me when I’m in the car. She always wants me to lie down, and then she keeps yelling “back.” She’s sitting in the front of the car. I don’t know why I can’t be up there with her.
But I guess I’d better tell you what that treats and loves place is. No, it’s not the doggy spa. I’m too cool to go there. It’s the vet. They see me coming and they get out the treats. They love me there.
Don’t tell my person though – she doesn’t know because they left her behind and just took me into the room – but I had to work really hard for those treats. They poked needles in me. I’m not sure why they do that. Maybe they had to test to see which kinds of treats are my favorite. I could have told them that, though.
When I left they told me to say hi to Scratchy – so after we got in the car, my person yelled “back”, and we made it back home I hurried in the house to give Scratchy the hi.
And you know what Scratchy did?
He growled.
I guess they don’t give Scratchy treats and loves at the vet. I wonder why.

oh dearie me NO…dogs in the front of cars..that would never do…supposing there was an accident..you would get hurt , then you would end up in hospital with no treats but plenty of loves. you just be a good boy and do as person tells you…my doggies always lay down and go to sleep

Patrecia, my person keeps telling me I’m going to be the one causing the accident. I don’t get it.

Oh Bongo – Blueberry had trouble staying in the back seat too so I bought one of those traveling dog covers that loops over the back and front seats so she can no longer jump up front any old time.
Blueberry loves the vet too but they are not at all shy about giving her treats in front of me. Although I bet treats are even better when they are sneaked to you, huh?!
Scratchy looks very disgruntled about the message from the vet office. I agree. He probably doesn’t get any treats there. Poor kitty.

Blueberry’s human, they give me treats in front of my person at the vet too. This time they just snuck me some extra ones. And Scratchy doesn’t get any treats at all. He hates the vet.

I think that you are an exception Bongo! Your friend over here dreads crossing the doorstep of ANY vet, even if she’s never been there! I understand Scratchy… It is obvious that you are a very brave dog, Bongo!!!! 🙂

Marina, the first time my person took me to the vet I spit out the treat they gave me. I didn’t want to be there at all. But they won me over and now I love going there.

So glad you have such a happy vet treats and loves place. We finally found one, too. Molly is a bit suspicious ( she had all those surgeries to get well before we got her) but she is happy they have special homemade treats and they give her more than one!
Happy vets’ treats and loves places are the best.
(Bong, I hate to ask – but Alpos the retired HPD police dog needs some frirends – please bark him some energy and best wishes. Thanks)

Wow, Molly gets homemade treats at the vet. They must be really cool there.

We are soooo glad to find them. They have training classes and even train shelter dogs for free. Molly has a playgroup there in a big field, too. So if something happened and we had to let her spend the night there, we – and she – would be comfortable with them.

So glad you are happy to go to the vet Bongo. Well, they certainly seem to have used the needle puncture marks for good and found out exactly how to make you happy. Give a big Tut, Tut to Scratchy from me. Good golly, can’t understand anything that wouldn’t just adore you.

Susan, I told Scratchy you said hi. He said as long as you don’t take him to the vet he’ll say hi back.

Bongo, I think it’s better to get first your drivers licence and then you can always sit in the front… behind the wheel 😀

Angels Whisper and Little Binky, that sounds like a great idea. I hope they have a driving school for dogs around here.

I was supposed to go to the vet’s on Thursday & then Diane cancelled because we were supposed to get a big snow storm. Then on Thursday, pffft…not much of anything but I was supposed to go today. Oh boy…we work up & you wouldn’t believe the snow out there Bongo! Nobody could go anywhere so I didn’t have to go to the vet again (I’m pretty happy about that. They love me & give me treats there but I get so scared I just spit the treats out)…Lola

Lola, the first time my person took me to the vet I spit the treat out. She thinks I must have had a bad experience there before she got me. I did. They cut something off that was precious to me. Today we were supposed to get rain all day, but after awhile it turned to snow and even stuck to the ground. Not a lot, but it’s white out there. Too bad it’s too yucky to go out and play in it.

Wow! You’re very brave to enjoy the journey to the vet Bongo! I think that me and my three kitties are like Scrathcy….We don’t like going to vet….Besides my vet doesn’t give me any love…*sniff sniff* All she gives me are injections or tablets….. 😦

Kevin, no wonder you don’t like to go to the vet. I only like it because of all the treats and loves I get.

I can imagine only one explanation of the needles: they did scientific research in order to find out the secret of happiness and kindness!

Dalton, Scratchy doesn’t even want to hear the vet mentioned. It’s his most hated place to go. Well, I guess it’s the only place he ever goes when he leaves the house.

Hi Bongo. It’s great to meet another Bongo. You would have loved going on a walk with me today. All the lizards were out. Thanks for stopping by and commenting. I hope I hear from you again soon.
