I’ve got a complaint, and I should have posted this for Monday Mischief, but when someone pulls mischief on me, I’ve got to post it when it happens.
You see, my person tried to tell me everything was fine outside. I knew it wasn’t but she made me go.
My neighbor across the street was in on it too. He said there wasn’t any thunder.
But I knew it was coming. The wind was blowing, the clouds were dark, and I knew I would hear that awful noise any minute.
It even started raining. I swear I felt a drop or two.
I took my person into my wash because it seemed like the safest place.
But then it happened. The wind picked up and I heard a rumbly in the sky. Not loud, but it still meant business in my book.
I tried to get my person to head the safest direction, but for some reason she wouldn’t go for it.
More mischief on her part, I’m sure.
Since my person wouldn’t go up that hill there was only one direction to head – and it led straight to my toadies.
And you know what my person did?
She pulled more mischief on me!
She tied me to a tree.
She tried to tell me it was so I wouldn’t trample the toadies.
I’ll trample those toadies alright.
They’re pulling mischief on me too.
They took my puddle.
There were little toadies hopping around everywhere that my puddle used to be.
They seemed to be settling in.
They even had little toad houses.
This mischief has gone far enough.
I’m having it out with those toadies right now.
Those toadies are going to have to move and give me back my puddle.

What the mischief? Invasion!
Bongo, we used to make toad houses just like that when we were kids – but we never saw a toad in them. More mischief! They are all where you are…do not listen if they complain they are homeless.

Karen, we have so many toadies here right now – I could send you some to fill up your toad houses.

Oh, those toadies are so cute. You should not stomp them, I think they should be your friends! There is one in the last photo that has kind eyes 🙂

Viciously Sweet, I wasn’t trying to stomp on those toadies. I guess my person thought I might step on them accidentally. I used to get in the puddle and stir up all the tadpoles. And there are so many toadies you really have to watch where you step.

Please don, t make them homeless!
Didn, t you have your thunder jacket on?

Patrecia, those toadies will probably hop off and find new homes. But I sure would like my puddle back. My person hadn’t put my thunder jacket on me and she tried to tell me there was no thunder. She was wrong. Although I think she planned to go out for our walk just at the time the thunder showed up.

Sunshine, those toadies are much too little for a tasty morsel and I think they’ll all be off and hiding somewhere before they get bigger.

My people had a cat once that got very sick because she probably ate a toad or a lizard. Maybe that’s why Scratchy has to stay in the house.

Little Binky, I might have to put up my Bongo’s Puddle sign again. That’ll tell those toadies.

Ku, I might think of being friends with those toadies – as long as they bring me back my puddle.

Oh, no!!! Sweet Bongo those toadies took away your puddle…now that just was not nice at all. Maybe if you give them a good barking-to they will clear out of you space. Hugs and nose kisses

Mag and Chancy, that might be a good idea. I haven’t tried barking at them. I bet that would scare them away. But first, I’ve got to get them to bring back my puddle.

Benny & Lily, my person really is full of mischief, isn’t she? Not only did she pull mischief on me but she scared those toadies. Every time she got close to them they hopped away as fast as they could. Pretty hard for a little toadie to do.

Their little house is so sweet. I hope as soon as you got untied from the tree, you got to put your face in there and check it out.
Love and licks,

Cupcake, my mischievous person wouldn’t allow any such thing. She made me walk around the toadie house and wouldn’t let me get near it.

Patricia, we got more thunder today. Maybe it zapped my puddle back where it’s supposed to be.

That’s a lot of mischief for one day!!!!! I hope you managed to get home before any more rumble and thunder. As for your puddle, my instinct says it will be back soon!

Marina, the thunder never got loud but it did do that quiet, low rumbly sound for awhile.

Marina, that low rumbly sound is really horrible. But it’s finally gone for a few days. My person says I’m a different dog. I’m not sure what she means. I’m still Bongo.

WoW…After ALL you have been through today…The nerve of those toadies stealing your puddle!
We think you should give them a “what for”. Teach them that THIS is Bongos Puddle…Not theirs!
