In the spring we get lots of flowers here and I’m constantly having to hang around while my person gets her camera out and takes pictures of them. And it seems like she takes forever.
Then in the fall when the weather cools down we get a few more flowers.
But in the middle of the summer I’m usually pretty safe. Not many flowers grow when it’s so hot.
But I just found flowers on this little bush here.
Maybe if I water it or something my person will want to leave.
Oops. Too late.
I’ve got to move faster next time.
Oh no!
There were a bunch of these white things in this spot a couple years ago, but I thought I’d gotten rid of them because I didn’t see any last year.
Come on, person. Move along! There’s nothing of interest here.
***
Whew! She went for it.
Hey! What are these doing here? I thought the catclaw were done blooming. What is it with this late bloomer?
***
Finally, we made it back home. I don’t have to wait any longer while my person takes pictures.
What!? Wait a minute! What are you doing, person?
You don’t need to do that.
I’m not even safe in my own backyard.

Your person takes really beautiful flowers but none compare to you….you are exquisite

Thanks Patrecia. Maybe I should tell my person she should just take pictures of me. Sometimes she gives me treats so I’ll pose right.

The world would be rather dull without flowers. They make the landscape pretty and interesting. In fact, they make a wonderful backdrop for your handsome self.

Thanks Patricia. I guess if I’m sniffing those flowers it’s okay for my person to take pictures of

What can I say Bongo… at least you are also in two of those photos. Next time, be faster with that watering. You have to give her credit though for such beautiful photos, don’t you agree?!

Marina, it might be okay for my person to stop and take flower pictures if she’d let me stop too when I find a really good smell on something.

We know what you mean. Me and sistah Nalle and Mama have a photography blog too, so sometimes instead of getting in a good paced walk, Mama makes us stop and wait to take pics. Woo! Ku

Then you can relate Ku. It’s so frustrating sometimes to have to wait for our people.

Bongo, the white pottys (in Dutch we call them potty) maybe had to much watering visitors and obviously survived and you know, this is one of the best photos of this post, because you’re in it… on the other hand, the other photo’s are quite beautiful too. Pawkisses for the weekend 🙂

Sweet Bongo you need to not water those flowers if you want them to go away. They are very pretty flowers though…but you are a lot more handsome than they are pretty. Hugs and nose kisses Chancy and kitties

Thanks Chancy and the Kitties. You mean I can’t water those flowers? I’m getting confused now.

As the Mother and Person of Many Hounds, I see two sides to this story, Bongo – yes, your person makes you stop while she beautifully photographs flowers and yet, do you not stop to “water” and poo and smell around? My Hounds sure do – most of our walks are stops and starts, yet I rarely take photos on walks. LOL.

Roberta, I don’t stop – well, not for very long. And my person is always dragging me away from all the best smells. It’s a wonder I know anything about what my dog friends are up to – my person doesn’t give me time to get the whole message.

Mollie and Alfie, that’s terrible. You’ll have to come over and go out on my trails with me. Lots of room there.

Those all pictures are pawsome! What is the name of the flower on the last picture? They’re gorgeous! The shape of the flower looks like lily but I’m not sure about their leaves.

Thanks Kevin. The last flower is an orange trumpet vine. My person planted them years ago and they have dropped their seeds and are growing in other places now too. They bloom all summer. My person doesn’t even water them – and she won’t let me do it. The hummingbirds really like those flowers. They’re perfect for their long beaks.

Only one thing to do…. water them or eat them or dig them up….. Ginger says napalm them.

Kolytyi, I think you’re right. Flowers shouldn’t be on my blog unless I’m there too.
