I know this isn’t so strange for most of my blogging buddies this time of year, but for me it is.
What happened to the sky?
I’ve been looking at blue sky almost every day, but today it’s gone.
Where’d all that gray come from?
And it’s soggy too. It’s a good thing I’m a water dog.
I’ll take water in any way, shape, or form – soggy or not.
But I don’t know what to do with my person.
She’ll look for any excuses to get her camera out and she found some today.
.
Go ahead person. Keep taking pictures here.
I found some good weeds to munch on.
I finished those weeds and had to drag my person on.
That worked until she found a lost little mushroom that had popped up out of the soil.
It looks like that poor mushroom got dimples from shivering so much. All the other mushrooms hung out when it was warmer.
I finally convinced my person that that mushroom was fine all by itself, but when I stopped in one of my favorite sniffing spots she found something else.
I’m not sure I want to hang around these things for very long.
Some of them have some pretty mean looking teeth.
Let’s get outta here!

Those are some mean looking things, plus if you were to eat one, you would get really really really sick.
Did any water fall from the grey sky Bongo?

Kimberly, there was some water falling when I was out in my yard – and my person made me go back in the house but I didn’t want to. Nothing came from the sky while I was on my trails though, but I think we’re supposed to get some water today and tomorrow.

Ku, maybe I should write a haiku about them:
One little mushroom
Clinging tightly to a tree
Full of teeth – scares me
What do you think?

Marina, it sure is a good thing. Who knows what those things would have done to her if I hadn’t gotten her out of there.

Kari, I know that a lot of mushrooms aren’t good to eat. Maybe that’s how these mushrooms are warning everybody. I mean, who would want to eat something that’s going to eat you too.

Cupcake, you’ve got to watch out for those things. They might eat all your goose poop before you get a chance to get near it.

That first plant we saw looked really pointy and mean. We are use to seeing all those kinds of mushrooms most years but we don’t have many right now. Mom just makes us stay away:)

Lexie and Mica, we have lots more pointy and mean plants here than we do mushrooms. You’ve got to learn to keep your distance.

Collies, I bet Scratchy snuck out with some of his cat buddies and they left some of their teeth on that bush. Cats are always up to no good. Maybe I’d better check Scratchy and see if he’s missing some teeth.
