Day Two – No Blue

22 Nov

Bongo on the trail on a gray dayThis is the second day in a row with gray skies. That’s got to be some kind of record for here.

I really don’t mind the weather.

It’s not windy, and not too cold.

Actually a really good day for a walk on my trails.

The only problem is that nobody else seems to think so.

I didn’t meet a single person or dog on my walk today.

.

And without other people or dogs it’s kind of hard to have adventures sometimes.

So I had to look for something else adventurous.

I didn’t find much.

Purple berries against a gray sky

Some berries enjoying the gray day.

Mushroom with a face

And a mushroom with a face.

Well, I thought I saw a face on it, but my person had to enhance (is that an adventurous word – enhance?) the eyes so that you could see them too.

So much for adventures today.

Guess I’ll go take a nap.

Thanks Marina. I woke up for a minute to answer you. Now, back to my nap.

Cupcake, it really was a friendly mushroom.

Adventure is where you find it. You found something despite the gray – you probably made the berries and mushroom’s day: hardly anyone notices them normally. Good job, Bongo

On a cold grey day with no blue..a nap is a very sensible thing to do

Some days are just meant for napping, Bongo, but at least you got to spot a funny face. We had too much adventure here today, Prince William came to town, there was no room to move!

Susan, that really does sound exciting. I wish Prince William would come to my trails – but then, maybe not. It would be hard to have trail adventures if there was no room to move.

Hey, we’ve got the same here! I slept almost all day but most of it was in the car cause Diane had to go shopping. She was just going to go out for Moe food (why I don’t know – he’s a little chunky) but then she kept telling me “just one more store”. I may not know all my numbers but I know what one is…Lola

Lola, at least you didn’t have to hang out in dog jail while Diane went shopping. That’s what I had to do – and my person got people food and cat food, and not one thing for me. Guess I could get into the people food – or the cat food.

Yeah I could have had a nice lunch while she was in Home Goods but she leaves all the food in the trunk ever since I ate some prosciutto. I can see why it’s so expensive – it’s very tasty.

Bongo we did not have blue today either, it was gray and rainy so we were napping. We have an Arctic Blast of cold weather for the weekend. High suppose to be in 30’s:(

The face of the mushroom is so funny! He/She has eyebrows, too! I hope you’ll get blue sky back soon.:)

Kevin, I’ve had to look hard for the blue sky this weekend, but every once in awhile a patch of blue would peek out of the clouds.

Pretty place to walk…. the sun disappears around here in November and reappears in March….. we get glimpses of it in between but not for very long….

Collies and Chuck, my person grew up in Seattle and she says the sun goes away there for a long time. I like it here where it’s around most of the time so when it does go away it’s just nice to have something different.

Ah yes, very similar to where we live in cloudiness, we just get more snow and they more rain…. 🙂
