I’ve never seen rock fruit before.
I thought these trees just grew little berries.
But how else could these rocks have gotten here?
Maybe a really big storm could blow rocks into trees.
But we haven’t had any storms like that lately.
I guess I should investigate.
Time for my Detective Dog hat.
My first investigation will be how to reach those rocks so I can check them out.
I’ve got to see if they’re really some kind of fruit that looks like rocks – or if they’re really just rocks like they look like.
Maybe I can find a big rock to stand on – or some branches.
Oh, wait. This is too hard.
Do I really care what those rocks are doing?
I think I’ll do something else instead.
I’m going to give you something to investigate.
So here it is.
Here’s your investigation.
Find me in this picture.

January 8, 2014 at 10:39 am
Oh no, did the rock fruit eat you Bongo!? I don’t see you!
January 8, 2014 at 11:49 am
Ku, I guess I managed to hide really well.
January 8, 2014 at 10:42 am
Looks too rocky! Don’t sit under those, Bongo…even for heavy thinking
January 8, 2014 at 11:53 am
Karen, I guess if I sat under them I might be thinking about stars.
January 8, 2014 at 10:52 am
Oh Bongo – that is a mystery. What you need is a purr thing as a side kick in your investigation. They have mad climbing skills. I know. I’ve watched the two purr things here at the Hotel Thompson. They can *almost* climb the walls. Please let us know what you find out. XOXO – Bacon
January 8, 2014 at 11:54 am
Bacon, I’ve thought about taking Scratchy on some of my investigations but he’s too old to be adventurous any more.
January 8, 2014 at 12:22 pm
Maybe I can box up one of mine and send it to you? Snorts. XOXO – Bacon
January 8, 2014 at 11:38 pm
No Bacon – noooooo!
January 9, 2014 at 6:47 am

January 8, 2014 at 11:55 am
Wow Fredrieka, that must take a lot of patience. I hardly ever have any of that.
January 8, 2014 at 4:52 pm

January 8, 2014 at 11:54 pm

January 9, 2014 at 3:49 am

January 8, 2014 at 12:47 pm

Man, Bongo, If only you’d worn your yellow and red striped Where’s Bongo shirt… I can’t find you! I’ll have to come back and look again. At least that rock fruit wasn’t ripe enough to fall off the tree yet.
January 8, 2014 at 11:41 pm
I guess I’ll have to get one of those shirts. But yeah, I could have been hit by the things I was investigating. Good thing I gave that investigation up.
January 8, 2014 at 2:01 pm
I think you are behind the camera, Bongo! But where is your person?
January 8, 2014 at 11:42 pm
Kolytyi, my person never gets in front of the camera. When I try to take pictures of her she runs and hides.
January 8, 2014 at 2:16 pm
Nah, ignore the rocks Bongo. Haven’t you heard the expression ‘dumb as a rock?’ Well rocks are dumb and I broke a couple teeth trying to chew them…Lola
January 8, 2014 at 11:43 pm
Lola, if those rocks broke your teeth they really are dumb. Ouch!
January 8, 2014 at 4:08 pm
That was a hard task, Bongo. I do believe I see something fury under that branch… I may need to borrow your hat though! 😉
January 8, 2014 at 11:53 pm
Marina, after all the fish you’ve sent me you can borrow my hat anytime.

January 9, 2014 at 5:57 am
Did the rock swallow you up? 🙂
January 9, 2014 at 8:27 pm
Brown Dawgs, I’m trying to avoid those rocks so they don’t swallow me.
January 9, 2014 at 7:23 am
