Yesterday my investigation was a bust.
I guess even Detective Dog can’t be perfect all the time.
But today I have another investigation.
I’m sure I’ll get to the bottom of this one.
You see, there is a personless dog that sometimes runs around my neighborhood.
.
.
.
.
All the dogs in my neighborhood have people that they take on walks with them, except this poor dog.
I really have to admire this dog though.
I mean, how many dogs would go on walks if it wasn’t for needing to give their people exercise?
Giving your people their exercise is such a good motivator, but this dog goes on walks by himself.
He even does some jogging.
But where are this dog’s people? Why aren’t they letting him take them on walks?
That’s what I need to investigate.
I almost had an answer right from the dog’s mouth.
I saw him a ways off on my trails and then he started following me home.
I was all ready to befriend him. He really looks like he could use some friends.
But my person totally blew it for me.
Because every time she walks toward this dog he runs in the opposite direction.
My person is not doing a very good job.
I think I may have to fire her and hire myself a new assistant.
I bet this dog needs a job.

Oh, I would hate to hear that that dog does not have a person to call his/her own. I sure hope you can get to the bottom of this mystery.

Oz, that dog does have a collar so I’m sure there is a person around somewhere. I’m still investigating.

That poor dog , fancy being without a person to care for and protect. He does seem to have a collarso maybe hhe has escaped over thhe wall and cannot find his way home again.
I would love it for him to come and live with me buti am too far away

Patrecia, I have a sneaking suspicion that that dog lives in the same house with Moe. Moe snuck under the fence into my yard the other day (in the part of the yard I’m not allowed to go in). When my person went out there Moe ran right back under his fence.

That is a big mystery. I would give your person another chance to solve it.

Dogdaz, maybe it would help if I let my person borrow my Detective Dog hat. Then maybe that dog wouldn’t keep running away from her.

Oh oh, that dog looks like he needs a person or a good pal like you Bongo.

Lola, I think that dog was kind of lonely and that’s why he followed me for awhile – until my person blew it and chased him away.

Oh I hope that doggy has a person. He has a collar. I wonder if he got losted in a storm. I would hate to think someone left him there. Bongo. Find out if he is ok?!

Kimberly and Wall-E, I think maybe that dog likes adventures more than his people do – so he just wanders off to find his own adventures. Maybe he just needs his own blog.

That poor dog, all alone. He’s wearing a collar, so perhaps he has escaped from his yard and his owners are searching for him. I hope your person can get friendly with him so she can help him.

Barb, I bet that dog found his way home when he got hungry. Maybe I should get my person to offer him treats to get him to come to her (none of my treats though – I barely have enough as it is.)

A walk without a person on the leash would be pretty boring. Except for the part when you get to eat anything you find on the ground with nobody telling you it’s poison. Maybe your person needs some treats for the lonely dog. Then he might come. ….and if not, you get the treats!!
Love and licks,

Cupcake, I was thinking the same thing about treats – but not any of my treats, of course. Or maybe my person could let me off my leash so I could go hang out with that dog – and eat anything I want.

You’ll have to let us know how your investigation goes. I imagine that dog’s person is pretty fat by now, without being walked. Maybe he forgets to close the gate. Keep us posted on what you discover.

Maybe that should be my next step in my investigation. Look for a fat person that isn’t going on any walks.

Lily, I so agree. I think it’s a lifelong commitment to get my person trained though.

Maybe this dog’s persons are lost and he is trying to find them. I hope your person can get him to come to her so she can see if his collar has any info on it.

Patricia, I think I know where this dog might live and I bet he wanders on home when it’s dinner time. But I’ll keep investigating.

I think you may have to start sharing your treats to help encourage this dog to come to your person rather than your person moving towards him!

Dalton, that’s so hard – giving up any of my treats. Maybe I can send my person to the store for some extra treats.

Hmm so maybe his people let him out to take walks without them? I really hate that. We have a newer neighbor next door who does that. I don’t understand it.

Brown Dawgs, we have lots of dogs in our neighborhood and all of them take their people for walks except this one. Well, Moe snuck under the fence and came in my yard the other day. I think this dog might live there too and is sneaking out under the fence. I wish my person would let me go in the part of the yard where the fence is high enough to sneak under.

Oh no…I’m worried if the dog really doesn’t have his person?……..or he does have a owner? I do hope so….*worried face*

Kevin, that dog has a collar so I’m pretty sure he has a person. That person doesn’t seem to want to go on walks with him though.

Sweet Bongo you may need to tell that dog how important it is that he walks his persons so they can get exercise, maybe he hadn’t though of that. Hugs and nose kisses

Lexie and Mica, this dog has a collar. I’m sure he has a home. He just doesn’t seem to be confined to his yard.
