I headed up my trails as usual, minding my own business.
I’m always looking for some kind of adventure, but this time I found somebody else having an adventure.
I got really concerned because this person was way up high on Sugarloaf, the large, round, red rock hill next to my trails.
This person stood on a ledge and it looked like she was going to step off – right down a straight cliff.
If that person doesn’t have super sticky shoes and fingers she is going to fall right down to the bottom.
And then she did step off.
But she didn’t fall.
.
She kind of hung there, right in the middle of the cliff.
What kind of a trick is this? Can she fly?
Maybe she has super Jedi powers and she’s going to pop right back up to the ledge.
But none of that happened.
She didn’t fly, and she didn’t pop.
She slid.
Right down to the bottom.
Safely.
Oh wait a minute. I see it now.
She cheated.
There’s a rope hanging there.
Hey, that looks like fun.
Maybe if I drag my person up to that ledge she’ll let me slide down the rope.

Patrecia, my person let me go down another slide on my trails once but it was all dirt. It was fun. I bet this rope slide is fun too.

Bongo… You might get hurt doing that. I don’t think your person has the equipment to keep you safe for you to do that. We want to hear of your adventures, not your adventure of hurts.
Don’t worry, that person hanging by a rope… is crazy. I would never do that. I tried it once, and never ever ever again.
It’s scary.

Kimberly, my person says she used to do that sometimes but it was a long time ago. If she can do it then I should be able to do it too.

Gah! She’s a spider, A giant web-weaving spider! …..Umm.. Did she bring cookies?
Love and licks,

Cupcake, I didn’t get to get close enough to that spider woman to find out if she had cookies. If I see her again I’ll drag my person over to where she is.

Ku, I might even need a new hat for that. Guess I’d better not look down though. The hat might fall off.

Bongo you just gotta post pictures when you get your person to go slide down that rope. Wishing you luck with the climb sweet Bongo. No way would Mumsy do that. Hugs and nose kisses

Chancy and Mumsy, I’ll for sure get that camera from my person if she decides to slide down that rope.

Bongo did you bark I would have barked.. I would have really barked and growled loud.

Fredrieka, that rope person was pretty far away. I don’t think she would have known I was barking at her.

That would be amazing, Bongo. I can picture it…you climbing Sugerloaf and all your fans waiting downstairs, taking pictures and applaw for you. Pawkisses for the weekend 🙂

Lola, guess I’ll have to stick to rock climbing then. I tried that today (it’ll be on my post tomorrow) but my people weren’t very happy with me.

Whoa what an oddity – a person on a leash? (good thing considering.) I’d just stick to the horizontal-ish trails, Bongo

Karen, it’s the first time I’ve seen a person on a leash on my trails that didn’t have a dog at the other end.

We have ice climbers in our area and I think those people are nuts – but that just looks sweaty!

Jen, my person says as long as you’re going down it can be fun. One time – a long time ago – she did this and had to climb back up too. That was sweaty. Thanks for stopping by and commenting.

Oz, I just have to figure out how to attach myself to that rope so I don’t fall off.

Be careful, perhaps your person could slide down the rope while you watch? Would make a change from you having to wait for her taking rubbish pictures, you could even take her picture!
Bongo
January 14, 2014 at 10:45 pm
Dalton, I’m grabbing her camera right now. Then I just have to direct my person over to that rope.

Mom thinks that would be a lot of fun, she has always wanted to go down on the rope. We think of we can’t walk we’ll just leave it up to the humans!

Lexie and Mica, my person said she went down ropes a few times a long time ago and it was fun. I don’t know why she doesn’t want me to do it.

Oooooh! That looks fun! But…..scary, too……I wonder anyone can try it without any permission? Woof?
Bongo
January 19, 2014 at 1:16 pm
Kevin, I don’t think you need permission to do that but my person says you’d better know what you’re doing so you don’t fall. She says she did that a few times a long time ago – before I was around.
