New Expedition

14 Aug

View in a wash in SedonaToday I got to go on a new adventure. I got to go exploring.

I can’t believe we’ve never been here before. It’s my wash, after all.

But it’s the other part of my wash.

When we get to this place in my trails we usually go left and head back home. To explore this part we have to go right.

Finally I talked my person into going right for a change.

And we were off – on a new expedition.

Bongo exploring a dry wash

At first I had a good time checking out all the new smells in this wash.

But then I saw something really strange.

A barkless tree.

Barkless tree

It’s a good thing this tree is not a dog. It would have a terrible time giving warnings in dog talk.

We headed up past that tree and kept on going.

And then I saw it.

Something I’ve never seen on my trails before.

I think somebody has been expecting me because…

Bongo by a stone wall

they started building me a house.

Whoever is building it must be coming back because they haven’t finished with it.

The walls are almost high enough for me, but the house still needs a roof.

I looked to see if I could see anyone around.

Bongo in front of stone structure

I don’t see anybody this way.

Bongo looking opposite direction in front of stone structure

Nobody over this direction either.

The house builder doesn’t seem to be around anywhere.

Bongo looking at stone structure

Guess I’ll go inspect the place.

As long as there’s no rain I can wait for the roof.

Patrecia, I think somebody left that house just for me. They must have known I would be there.

Ah, a little cozy house… well, maybe you should have brought a hat with you after all!
Glad you convinced your person to go that way!
    🙂

Marina, I guess maybe I do need a hat – at least until the roof gets put on that house.

I like the idea of a stone doghouse. Very original!

Little Binky, it’s pretty cool. You’d probably like it. You could jump in and out of it with ease.

How cool is it to explore new trails Bongo…When we see things like this around here it’s usually a fort someone is building for paint ball wars…you can tell cause we find unexploded paint balls along the trail…Glad that’s not what yours is for

Gizmo, I haven’t seen any evidence of paint ball wars on my trails but I have seen air soft pellets on my trails.

Keep us up on the progress of your house sweet Bongo. That is pretty cool that someone is building you a house. Seems you enjoyed getting to explore a new area. Hugs and nose kisses

Chancy and Mag, it’s always fun to go exploring. Especially when you find that someone is building you a house.

The stone house looks good and would be so cool if it’s finished building…Oh no…where he/she/ they has/have gone? They can’t stop building before finishing!!!

Kevin, I’m still looking for the builder. If I can’t find that person, maybe I can drag my younger person out there to help me finish it. He’s home from that college place this week.

That tree is naked! I hope it doesn’t get too cold…

Remy, it’s really hot here right now so that might explain why that tree got naked.

    I hope it’s not Eeyore’s house but a real Bongo-residence!

Kolytyi, I could maybe share that house with Eeyore – as long as Tigger shows up to add some life to the party.
