I think I’ve got another mystery on my paws.
Something strange is happening around here.
You see these berries by my feet?
These are juniper berries – and they’re gathering in clumps all over the place.
There might be some kind of conspiracy going on.
I wonder if any of them are hiding in this grass.
I don’t see any here.
This is strange. This is really strange.
This means they’re not even afraid.
They’re all out in the open where everybody can see them.
What are they up to?
I think I’d better go home and get my Detective Dog hat.
Much better.
Now to get to work.
One of these berries has got to be willing to spill the beans – I mean the berries – I mean…
Whatever.
Which one will it be?
I think I know.
That one with the funny face over there.
Alright Funny Face. What do you know?
Give it to me loud and clear.

Marina, so far that berry says “Mum’s the word.” I’ll get it to talk if I have to eat it.

Do the berries fall like autumn leaves? There are BIG piles of leaves around here. Maybe the berries will pile up and you can run through them.
Love and licks,

Cupcake, we don’t have many leaves around here but lots of berries. My person says the berries probably fell in the last big rain and then the rain put them into piles. I guess we need some more rain so the piles get big enough to run through.

Kevin, that berry’s up to something for sure. I think he knows something that none of the other berries know. None of them were smiling.

Lily, I’m sure that berry is up to no good. I might have to squeeze the juice out of him to find out what he’s up to.

Is that berry sticking it’s tongue out at you? That’s very rude of that bad berry!

Lola, I think that berry might just be licking its lips. It’s lucky I don’t like that kind of berries or I’d eat it and then lick my lips.

Lola, maybe that’s what’s wrong with the coyotes around here. They’re always eating those berries.
