I headed up my trails as usual, minding my own business.
I’m always looking for some kind of adventure, but this time I found somebody else having an adventure.
I got really concerned because this person was way up high on Sugarloaf, the large, round, red rock hill next to my trails.
This person stood on a ledge and it looked like she was going to step off – right down a straight cliff.
If that person doesn’t have super sticky shoes and fingers she is going to fall right down to the bottom.
And then she did step off.
But she didn’t fall.
.
She kind of hung there, right in the middle of the cliff.
What kind of a trick is this? Can she fly?
Maybe she has super Jedi powers and she’s going to pop right back up to the ledge.
But none of that happened.
She didn’t fly, and she didn’t pop.
She slid.
Right down to the bottom.
Safely.
Oh wait a minute. I see it now.
She cheated.
There’s a rope hanging there.
Hey, that looks like fun.
Maybe if I drag my person up to that ledge she’ll let me slide down the rope.

Get Serious!
I don’t know how to be serious.
I know how to have adventures, and I know how to have fun – but serious?
Come on now.
Get serious! Oops, I mean – well, you know what I mean.
Oh, is that all you want me to do?
Okay, I can do that.
My person finally figured out that my 2013 blogging report was up.
I’ve made lots of good friends in the time I’ve been blogging, and I want to thank some special friends.
While I’ve made some new friends in the past year, it was really fun to find out that four out of my five top commenters were also in the top five last year, and in the exact same order. And number five has been a friend for a long time too.
So here they are:
Number five is Cupcake at http://cupcakepetrillo.wordpress.com. Cupcake is a very cute therapy dog (don’t tell her but I’m kind of in love) who likes goose poop and dressing up.
Number four is the Collies at http://colliesofthemeadow.wordpress.com/. There are so many collies there I have trouble keeping track of them. I think their dad Chuck does too. But my favorite is Ginger, my best girlfriend; because I’m one of the key players in helping her achieve world domination.
Number three is Little Binky at http://angelswhisper2011.wordpress.com. It’s really hard to admit, but I’m good friends with a cat. Don’t tell Scratchy, the cat I live with. He might give me a bad time about it.
Number two is Kevin. Kevin is a Shiba-Inu from Japan who puts up with a lot of cats and is a great friend. Kevin doesn’t have his own blog, but you can find him on Twitter at https://twitter.com/eripanwkevin
And number one is Marina at http://marinakanavaki.com. Marina is a wonderful artist and also a musician. You can see lots of her artwork on her blog. Oh yeah, and she sends me fish. Maybe only virtual fish, but I can still taste them in my imagination. Yum!
So what do I have to do now, person?
I have to do what?
Oh yeah, I almost forgot.
So this is for all my top commenting friends, but also for all of my friends who have ever commented on my blog – except maybe for the spam ones.
